Everything seems to be going great until you hit the UBC Bookstore. Rental titles for September are often available just as soon as the new versions are! You’re still riding the adrenaline rush that was Imagine Day, you got into all your classes and for once, you don’t have a four-hour break.
I doubt they cared, but I wanted to share this story online so that no other student endures what I did there! What’s more, unlike online rental companies, we carry all your other course materials: one-stop-shopping! First-Year Checklist.

How many times do I have to fill out the rental agreement?
It’s cheaper to rent a textbook than to buy one outright, especially if the cost of buying is over $100. Pro Tip: For the most effective resale, list the book’s title, author, edition, ISBN number and if you have it, the class and professor. Having completed my undergraduate degree at UBC, I've purchased a lot from the UBC Bookstore over the years. Some profs write their own textbooks, while some require a magical, special edition that is exclusively sold at the UBC Bookstore.
