Smash 4 had a successful pro scene, but when Ultimate (Smash 5) came out a few months ago, it effectively killed the Smash 4 scene by being better at it in almost every way. And that was back when the “crowd” was right behind your seat screaming in your ear. The smash community is toxic to casual players. And I've always felt included in on this sub. I only got any respect from them once I became top 10 in my city (and those people kept telling me to stop playing games with my friends because they weren't top 10 material), which made me actually quit playing altogether and just watch on rare occasions.tbh I think it is hard to do a broad generalization on the fgc, because it is so diverse throughout the world. - Page 2.
