The rest of that Leptonectes must be around somewhere.I have a plesi vert like that which was in the matrix like yours but just popped out when trying to tidy it up.Everyone finding verts except me,coming back off the beach we met a bloke who asked if these were fossils and showed us an ammonite outer whorl imprint about half inch to which we said yes but you can get better stuff and he then produced a 1 1/2 inch ichy vert which he had found after taking about twenty steps onto the beach and which we had walked an hour earlier.Steve - I was hoping mine would pop out like that but the neural arch shattered into 6 bits, so had to reglue it back onto the other side of the matrix to give it support.
